The internal plumbing services distribute water and collect wastewater through a network of pipes located inside the building. This service of sanitary facilities such as Toilets, bathtubs and sinks.
The pipes in the building comes in two main divisions, supply lines and drains.
The supply lines carry fresh water to all fixtures installed and used at home. The pipes are usually installed in copper tubing, CPVC but often used. This part of the system under pressure to push water through the system, usually about 50-90 psi. Normally, the system is also a main shut-off, turn off the water throughout the house, and utility lines are located in the building. It is also a good idea to install the plumbing shut-off to any device, to ensure quick and easy to fix without disabling the entire supply to the building.
The drains carry water away from the internal fittings and sewage through the larger pipe diameter. Piping is usually installed with ABS plastic or black lines, which are glued together. Wastewater lines are pure gravity fed, so it is important for plumbers to a ramp to keep all the pipes, to ensure the removal of the waste pipe. For each device and outlet, is a type of water seal installed (a “P” trap), which is simply a place where water will sit for the passage of sewer gas present in the home. Also, each device requires a passage in the depleted part of the fall of water, to prevent the line from draining completely as a result of the siphoning action. This subsystem vent draws air from a tube, which was raised through the roof of the building. Legislated plumbing code, and P are good ventilation is required in all buildings.
The interior fittings are the items that use water for their operations. They include Toilets, sinks, baths, laundry, dishwashers, hot water tank and sometimes refrigerators or stoves. Most fixtures come in a wide variety of colors and textures, all design standards. A good example is the bath, which can be purchased in three sizes, five, five and a half, and six meters long, with a standard depth and width. Because this type of standardization and requirement of judicial approval before the sale, homeowners are protected from poor design or useless products. All fixtures connected to sewer, and most require both hot and cold connections.
Hot water is provided by a large tank that heats and stores enough water for use in the building. Tank is controlled by a multitude of sources, including electricity, oil, propane or gas, and is located near the entrance of the service. A common problem with fixtures, the temperature fluctuation caused by using more than one such fixture at a time. Most notably, a shower temperature rise when a toilet flushed. There are two ways of solving this problem. The first uses a pressure-regulating valve, which automatically balance the pressure of the same line supply. The second is a more simple solution, where the Bathroom is connected to the service entrance, before the connection with other programs, including the boiler.
